Dr. Badrul Hisham bin Abd. Samad is a Consultant Public Health Physician and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Defence Health, National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM), where he has served since August 2020. He is also a Research Fellow at the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Research Centre, Strategic and Security Studies Institute (SSSI), NDUM.

During his tenure at the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) in Putrajaya, Dr. Badrul was deployed as Deputy Health Commander for the Type-3 Malaysian Field Hospital in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The deployment formed part of Malaysia’s humanitarian assistance and disaster relief mission supporting Rohingya refugees.
